As a company which specializes in extremely energy efficient laundry appliances, such as a series of portable clothes dryers, we very interested to see this new type of solar clothes dryer. Made by Greenway, it looks like a regular old outdoor clothesline. However, it has a patented design with a solar panel at the top. The solar panel doesn’t actually dry the clothes, rather it provides the energy to rotate the top portion of the laundry pole to increase airflow to the clothes. According to the manufacturer, it cuts drying time in half compared to traditional clotheslines.
